For sale is what I believe to be two small cases used by a salesperson to show prospective customers their lines of trimmers (potentiometers, variable resistors).
The first:
This case has 6 of the popular trimmers manufactured by Allen Bradley. Included are 6 types, along with basic facts for each of the 6 types.
Perhaps it was used by electronics teachers to show students what each of these components look like, and to give a prospective on their relative sizes.
It is a very interesting item, showcasing these Allen Bradley trimmers:
Type E Trimmer
Type RT Trimmer
Type 90 Trimmer
Type MT Trimmer
Type D Trimmer
Type A Trimmer
The case measures roughly 4 3/ 4” x 4” x 1/ 2”.
The second:
This case shows exploded
views of 4 different models of potentiometers sold by Weston Schlumberger (Weston Components), of Archibald, Pennsylvania, 18403.
Perhaps the case was used by electronics teachers to show students how these components are manufactured.
It is a very interesting item, showcasing these Weston Cermet Potentiometer models:

For each model it shows the completed control, as well as an exploded view of all the pieces that make up each potentiometer.
The case measures roughly 4 3/ 4” x 4” x 7/ 8”.
